Two teenagers on a road trip with friends in Turkey died after being hit by a truck while trying to take selfies on the road. The pair were part of a group of five young men who had taken a hired car to travel on a trip from Alanya to Antalya on the south-west coast of Turkey.
According to a statement by the Police,the five friends had been drinking and friends of the five teens said they had stopped by the airport's perimeter fence on their way back to look at the planes,then all five friends decided they lay on the road to take a selfie with one of the planes in the background as it came into land.
But because it was already dark at 9pm,the truck driver didn't see them, and ran over two of the boys identified as Mohammet Bozkurt,17 and Caglar Savasci,19 . The other 3 escaped disaster after managing to roll out of the way at the last minute.

The federal government has hinted on the possible ban of hijabs following the increasing rate of suicide bombing. This was made known by the President,Mohamed Buhari during the Presidential Media Chat last night..
"If this thing (Suicide Bombing) continues,Hijab will have to be banned. A baby who was born inside the toilet of a train in India slipped through the toilet set and fell on rail tracks miraculously survived on Monday,December 28. According to a statement made available on Wednesday by the Police Officer,Anil Sirohi in New Delhi,the 23-year-old pregnant woman went into labor while she was on a journey in the train in the Northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
She then went into one of the toilets where she delivered a baby girl. The newborn slipped and fell into the tracks of the rail.
"Passengers on the train heard her cries for help and decided to pull the emergency chain to bring the train to a halt. Moments they ran towards the baby and discovered she was alive. "Sirohi said.
The railway Police moved both Mom and Baby to a nearby hospital. Railway Officer,Chandra Mohan-Jindai,said it was a miracle the baby survived after falling on concrete borders of the track from such a height. "Fortunately,the train wasn't at a great speed as it had just begun its journey from the rail station.

After series of tests were conducted,Doctor confirmed to Rob that he is suffering from diabetes which was news to him,according to TMZ.
The incident is said to be a "wake up call' to Rob that he needs to get healthy.

A 16-year-old girl was found hanging on Xmas day after apparently taking her life. She had been kidnapped and gang-raped as punishment for her mother winning a local election. She went to the police with her mom to report the matter but she wasn't taken seriously. Feeling humiliated and traumatised,she took her own life. It was only after her death police swung into action and arrested two suspects.
The Socialist Party candidate in Mirzapur,Arvid Sen,said that the girl was gang-raped to avenge the poll defeat,allegedly by relatives of a losing candidate.
Her mother was elected for the local government faction,the block development council,in the Mirzapur district of north-east area of India.
However,a senior police officer said that a post-mortal report shows no sign of rape.
The latest incident is the latest high-profile case to spotlight women's safety in India in recent years. Two construction workers were arrested for the rape of a woman in the premises of tech giants,Infosys. The men,in their 20s filmed the alleged assault which happened on Sunday at one of the IT firm's offices in the western city of Pune,Maharashtra State,Officers said.
This comes a week after the lawmakers passed a bill allowing harsher punishment for juveniles aged 16-18 following an outcry over the release of a young rapist who served three years in a detention facility for his part in a notorious gang-rape in 2012.

The Oyo State Police Command have arrested a 62-year-old imposter,Babatunde Idris for parading himself as a Colonel in the Nigerian Army and possessing fake identities to defraud one Mr. Yinusa Mustapha of the sum of N40m.
The State Commissioner of Police,Leye Oyebade said,Iris was arrested after a petition was filed against him.
He said;
"Following a petition received alleging the fraudulent activities of Idris,the Command's Anti-Kidnapping Squad swung into action and arrested the suspect,who until his arrest fraudulently obtained sums of money from his victims" .
Oyebade also revealed that the suspect promised his last victim,Mustapha,that he would help him with all the certificates for oil importation in 2012,but up to now,that hasn't been done. He failed to complete the deal after the money was paid into his account.
The commissioner added that;
"The suspect forged various letterheads of the Nigerian Army which he issued to unsuspecting individuals and corporate organisations soliciting assistance . He also had many identities under fake names all bearing the status of a colonel.
The suspect said on the other hand;
"I collected N16m from him claiming to be a colonel of the Nigerian Army. I signed the form but truly I am not a military man. One of my brothers is a general in the Nigerian Army.
One day,he gave to help somebody,so I made a copy of it.
"Mustapha wanted me to help him collect certificates for oil lifting and because I knew people who could do it,I collected the money from him but the deal failed.

Some members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria have been arraigned at the Chief Magistrate Court 1,Zaria Road,Kaduna and charged with criminal conspiracy and inciting public disturbances.
Their leader,El-Zakyzaky has been detained by the Nigeria Army before being released to the Nigerian Police Force for Investigation.
NPF's Public Relation Officer,Olabisi Kolawole on Tuesday,said that the Shi'ite members were being prosecuted for incitement of public disturbances among other charges.
She said;
Some Shi'ite members have been arraigned in court they were charged with criminal conspiracy,inciting public disturbances among other charges,they have been remanded in prison custody and the case adjourned".
The Shi'ite members had a clash with the Nigeria Army two weeks ago during which about 20 persons lost their lives.
They have since been remanded in prison custody.

:The sum of #514:150:00 was recovered at an accident scene recently at kwaita village,on the Abuja-Lokoja road by a Rescue Team of the Yagoji unit command of the Federal Road Safety Commission,(FRSC) on saturday,the 26th of December.
The unit commander of the FRSC,Mr. Sunday Ezeh disclosed this to a reporter of Daily Trust while handling the sum to a survivor of the accident. He said the money was recovered after two vehicles,a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Sunny cars collided. The Rescue Team who rushed to the scene of the accident recovered the money.
Fortunately the victims of the involved vehicles including a revered father came out unhurt.
"Although the money were from the two vehicles which did not belong to one person,thank God all the victims involved escaped unhurt before they all came out to resolve among themselves that the money be handed to one of them,Mr.Ezeh said.
