Shi'ite: Followers of El-Zakzaky charged with criminal conspiracy,remanded in custody

Some members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria have been arraigned at  the Chief Magistrate Court 1,Zaria Road,Kaduna and charged with criminal conspiracy and inciting public disturbances.

Their leader,El-Zakyzaky has been  detained by the Nigeria Army before being released to the Nigerian Police Force for Investigation.

NPF's Public Relation Officer,Olabisi Kolawole on Tuesday,said that the Shi'ite members were being prosecuted for incitement of public disturbances among other charges.
  She said;
Some Shi'ite members have been arraigned in court they were charged with criminal conspiracy,inciting public disturbances among other charges,they have been remanded in prison custody and the case adjourned".

The Shi'ite members had a clash with the Nigeria Army two weeks ago during which about 20 persons lost their lives.

They have since been remanded in prison custody.
